The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream - REVIEW

Hello there!

I recently got the mattifiying day cream from the seaweed product line, I mainly got it because it claims to be good for oily skin and keeps the pores from clogging, and I've been recently having breakout(i always have an acne on my face at all times if not more)

PRICE - 995Rs

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION :-

This oil-free, gel-like moisture cream is easily absorbed and perfect for combination skin.
  • Moisturises dry areas
  • Balances excess sebum
  • Gives a matte, shine-free complexion

TEXTURE - It has gel-like smooth, watery texture and it absorbs really fast into skin. It smells good

Let me describe my skin type first. I have an extremely sensetive, prone to acne, a sad T zone, porous (I think that comes with acne) - in short one of the worst possible combination skin.
Most of the heavier creams' don't work on my face. In summer, my my face is oily and in winter it dries out no matter what. This cream although very light and I required reapplication (the only con), it worked, it has a very pleasant scent and it doesn't cause breakouts. I didn;t see a great great change but as a day cream, it worked perfect for me. I am not looking for a miracle treatment and this does as it claims.

After massaging it for a minute

At first I wish it was in a tube or some kind of dispenser, because I hate dipping my fingers into lotions I feel that it is kind of un-hygenic. Despite that, it has a pretty decent smell to it, kind of does have the seaweed tinge to it and the texture is great, light, and gel-like. hen I out it on its goes on smoothly and dries almost instantly. The best part is it actually leave my skin oil looking free! I wouldn't say it gives me a complete matte look either, but it is pretty close. I also had no trouble applying make-up over it.

Would definitely repurchase irrespective of it being almost out of student budget!

MAC TWIG review

HEYY  YOU GUYS :D  been sooo long,i almost forgot i even have a blogspot :p

ANYWAY  Im back with a not so "budget friendly" makeup-y item.I went on a splurge spree this new year so there are one too many items stored for review :))

Price:- 1450rs

The world is going cray-cray about kylie jenner lip, everything  from to her  lip liner to lipstick to over drawing.I tried to not get into the bandwagon, mauve seemed way too mature for me but i gave in to the temptation irrespective.

After doing alot of research online i realised none of the shades she wears or so some bloggers claimed wouldnt look the same on me since my lips are pigmented. So i planned on going to the mac store and grabbing one,and boy who knew finding a proper nude lipstick to your skin tone would be such a drama

I've had a few MAC lipsticks  in the past but the issue I have always had is that so many colors don't suit my skin tone and they end up washing me out, I would describe it as a mauvey brown shade. When you look at it at first it almost looks like a reddish brown but once you swatch it is definitely a mauve shade. It's perfect for my skin color, if anything I feel like this shade enhances my features and almost makes me glow? I can't describe it.  Its a satin finish which is kind of like a matte finish but a little bit creamier with a little bit of glossiness. It's not drying whatsoever, and the staying power is fantastic,

Twig would look absolutely amazing on indian skin tone, maybe its one of the reason why its ALWAYS out of stock.

It is a Satin Finish Mac Lipstick which means it has a semi-matte kind of look. Satin finish lipsticks can tend to be a bit drying and Mac Mocha is definitely a little bit drying, but Twig is definitely one of the nicest Satin finish Mac’s i have tried. Its creamy, and it doesnt pull or tug on the lips and hopefully it wont dry out over time either. Satin finishes last quite a while- atleast 5 hours on me!

Overall, I highly recommend this shade.  If you're looking for a work-appropriate shade or just a nude lipstick try Twig!

 PROS
  •  The shade would look beautiful on every indian skin
  • Satin is my favourite texture from mac
  • Highly pigmented

CONS

  • Settles into fine lines
  • Expensive
  • Availibility

Longevity: 4.5/5

L.A. Colors 5 color metallic eyeshadows swatches and review

Hello there!

I am here with yet another "pocket friendly" review ;) So one of  my friend was suppose to be back from london and happen to ask me if i wanted something and tan tadaaann no price for guessing, i asked for makeup <3 and the amazing friend that she is to me she got me a handful of l.a colors metallics shadows ^^

Price: $1.99 each(depends on where you get it from)

Each pallete comes with 5 cordinated shades that can be used together or on its own.

Mesmerize,Wildflowers,Tease,Enchanted

Going by "student-tight on bugdet" lifestyle this product is an absolute bargain, beautiful colors amazing price the colors are rather sheer, but can be built up to some degree. I use these with a primer as a base for longevity. . the price allows you to try them out without feeling too bad about it.This palette includes a long, double-ended sponge tip applicator

The packaging reminds me a lot of Wet 'n Wild's

       Wildflowers

             Enchanted

   Mesmerize

Tease

I did not use primer for the swatches  because i wanted show the true color payoff, primers  are a MUST for these palletes, they help intensify the colors and longetivity

pros
Gorgeous range of colors
Super cheap
Smooth Application
 Travel Friendly
Very Pigmented

cons
Availability
some palette quality varies (Mesmerize and tease not great)

I tried a look with "wildflowers" my favourite of the 4

Maybelline Pink Alert Lipsticks POW 4 review and swatches

Hey you guyzzzzzzzz (whatsup eleventh gorgeous reference) ;)

Being a student money is always tight and "wants" multiply by hundreds every day.For times like this god sent us guardian lipsticks range by maybelline :p ;)

Couldnt be complaining anymore about not being able to lay my hands on mac/inglots amazing bout of colourful lipsticks.

I had ordered my maybeline pink alert lipstick-pow 4 from purplle.com and i couldnt have been anymore excited when this beauty was delivered to me

Price: 375(i didnt just call it a gurandian lipstick for no reason afterall)

Maybelline came up with 4 pink lipsticks with different undertones, every colour in this range is just as amazing. What caught my eye was POW4, a beautiful neon pink-coral colour, ive never owned anything like this before.Ever since i have this on me ive been dancing to "ima barbie girl in this barbie world" yes,it has THAT effect on me.

Texture wise Pow 4 is smooth and creamy and glides on to your lips like ha! though theres a need to exfoliate before putting this baby on or it'l leave you with flaky lips which is not attractive at all nah!It leaves a gloss like effect which settles down in a couple of minutes

With what ive noticed it shows up different on different people depending on how pigmented your lips are.I have decently pigmented lips and the shade almost comes across as "bihari pink" which just by the is my favourite colour along with what normally people call "bihari orange" so i dont have no complains there though i have to be very  careful with this colour.

Staying power of all the lipsticks in this range is almost the same i.e 4-5hours,it fades away to a beautiful coral-y stain.

All in all a must have.

Pros:
good staying power for the price
decently pigmented
affordable

Cons:
nothing i can think of im absolutely sold!

bioderma sensibio h20 review

Hey you guys!

This is my first time into writng a blog,i have absolutely no idea of why am i doing it,but as you can tell,I AM AT IT! bare with me if you may :)

So yes i suffered from teenage acne,it was bad-i was sad but did i do anything about it?absolutely NOT! coming from a family where acne is something nobody had an issue with i took it with a pinch of salt(and lemon juice) literally, aggravating the acne even more.Little did i know the pimples were here to stay. Trips to dermatologists  were a norm in my life for next 3 years. Long story short i had been missing out on a lot of "night/morning time routine" that lead to severe cystic acne. Now that ive started to take my skin seriously i wanted to review this amazing product that i absolutely swear by

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

Price: 599 (100ml)

Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Peg-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Propylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Mannitol, Xylitol, Rhamnose, Fructooligosaccharides, Disodium Edta, Cetrimonium Bromide.

My take on the product :

This product is going to be in my absolute MUST HAVES for the rest of my life and believe me you im not even exaggerating. i have oily acne prone  senstive skin and have hyper pigmentation from past acne issues and this product has done wonders for me,it has lived up to its hype.

I use it as a cleanser every morning and before going to bed and it gets me my work done,i soak a cotton pad with a tiny drop of bioderma and gently cleanse my face(i have had my days when ive gone lady macbeth when it comes to cleaning my face) and tadaaaan it leaves behind calm and soothing skin. ive never had this experience before with any product.

It works amazing as a makeup remover specially for the eye area,i am a "slaps blackest black eyeshadow and kohl" girl and it gets really annoying taking it all off,for most part i use to give up and sleep with black eye but guess who doesnt gets to do that anymore? :D all it takes is a drop or two of bioderma on a cotton pad put them on my (closed) eyes, leave them for 10 seconds, very lightly rubbing in circles and all eye makeup is gone pooooff

All in all this is one of the absolute product in my  morning/night time routine and thy shall always be m/s derma ;)

Final verdict: No unpleasant results with this,no breakouts,no irritation,no stinging.Great and essential product for sensitive skin and good value for money because it lasts forever.Highly recommend <3

 Pros:
 Great cleansing power
 Non-oily
 Convenient
Didnt break me out

Cos:
can be a bit expensive
struggles with waterproof mascara
not easily available
